This fire that burns within me won't go out.
Don't be afraid of its warmth.
Don't shy from its brilliance.
Don't doubt its strength.
It's as refreshing as rain from the sky
and as powerful as the towering clouds
that bring the downpour.
Yet it's as gentle as the breeze
and as beautiful as an autumn sunset,
painted just for you.

I like this! I didn't know you wrote poetry. I guess it's because you just told me that you like to sleep with the sound of rain, but this poem reminds me of falling asleep to the sound of rain. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of poetry...I just found my notebook of all the poems I wrote in high school. It was in a trunk of stuff I had at Adam's parents' house.
